Where can I get really good educational videos for kids on science and history topics?

I homeschool my 9 year old son (who has dyslexia) overseas (Thailand) and would like to use good educational videos to help with history, science and other KS2 topics. I have tried Amazon, the bbc and channel 4 websites- do you know of any other suppliers? Lots of interesting images preferred and language must be easy to understand (some educational videos are too wordy for him and he switches off). How about websites to download programmes from? All advice much appreciated!

Have you looked at the BBC website, there are loads of interactive games etc on these subjects- take a look at BBC schools.

Also try the NGFL (National Grid for Learning) this is a great resource that acts as a gateway to loads of edcational sites.

You can get tons of streaming videos through United Streaming. Many school systems use it and there isn’t limit to how many you get. There’s even a free trial, so you can see if you want it. Has everything from elementary to high school stuff. I use it a lot in my classroom.
