How to report a falsifying educational qualifications?
I want to report a case of a person working in my friend’s company with fraud educational qualifications. How to report this.? Is there a law using which we can complain against this fraud of educational credentials?
For most occupations there isn’t a law per se, but if on the person’s employment application he or she stated that something that wasn’t true then that would certainly be enough to warrant being fired.
But it’s up to the company to do the firing.
However, in a few professions like the medicine, law, etc., then there are definitely laws against practicing in those professions without the proper qualifications.
First, before you even step into this mess, what business is it of yours? Is it something that affects your life that you are willing to mess up someone else’s life? Also, how do you KNOW s/he falsified their educational qualifications? You don’t work for the company, so you didn’t see the resume or sit in on the interview.
With that said, you could just call the HR department and alert them to the possible fraudulent activity. They will either check on it or let it go. Since you don’t even work for them, I wouldn’t expect to get too much of a response.
I would either tell my friend to do their own dirty work or just let it go.
This is really a serious matter that you should think for a hundred times before getting into this mess. I guess you should start your move by confronting the suspect. In a calm manner, you should clarify all your doubts with that person so that it wouldn’t be a backfire for you. It’s the person’s choice if he’d be in denial with it or surrender himself for this fraud. That’s the best thing you could do. You aren’t really responsible for this one so step back, its for your own.
